Josh Gehring is a student at Pitzer College studying Environmental Policy. He enjoys writing because it allows him to engage in a process of ideological iteration, interact with new people and ideas, and hopefully make a meaningful impact on diverse audiences. Josh writes bi-weekly journalism for his school newspaper, The Student Life, and wrote for Climate & Capital Media last summer. Josh is broadly interested in sparking informed action on the climate crisis through nonpartisan journalism and research. He has explored interests in clean energy, innovative agricultural techniques, and natural resource management through classes and internships. Recently, he worked with GRID Alternatives in Los Angeles to conduct market research in the Southern California solar energy industry by interviewing various stakeholders. Josh enjoys the outdoors and has worked as a rock climbing instructor and camp counselor. In his free time, he likes to run, cycle, and surf.
