Qiying Feng is a rising junior at the University of Michigan, where she is pursuing a triple major in Sociology (specializing in Law, Justice, and Social Change), Psychology, and Creative Writing. Her academic pursuits have always been dedicated to the fields of Criminal Justice and Public Health, with a particular focus on mental health and reproductive health. Motivated by the growing prevalence of mental health issues, Qiying leads efforts to promote mental health awareness across campus as the president of the Chinese Psychology Student Association (CPSA), organizing impactful events and initiatives that foster a supportive community. As a survivor of the one-child policy, Qiying’s unique experiences have sparked a profound interest in reproductive health and driven her research endeavors. She is currently a research assistant on an international project focused on abortion, examining sexual and reproductive health behaviors in Uganda. Outside of her academic and professional commitments, Qiying enjoys spending time with friends, exploring new literary works, and immersing herself in intercultural film experiences.
